Our mission is to reduce barriers and increase diversity in the backcountry. These scholarships covers the cost of the course for individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford this opportunity. By applying, you’ll have the chance to deepen your knowledge of avalanche safety, grow your skills in the backcountry, and become part of an inclusive outdoor community. Please note that all questions must be completed.

An AST-2 course is for more advanced students who have already taken an AST 1and are looking to dial in their decision-making tools and processes so they can find the best snow and increase their safety.
